The Arkansas Department of Education will sponsor the 2004 Charter School Conference on Thursday and Friday, May 6-7, 2004. The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Little Rock. The featured speaker will be Mr. Doug Thomas, Director of the Minnesota Gates-Ed Visions Project. Mr. Thomas has successfully created a new concept of the rural public school. For your perusal, an overview of the conference is enclosed.
Registration is now open, and a registration form is attached. The registration fee has been waived. With compliments of the Arkansas Department of Education, each participant will take part in a breakfast buffet on the first day, a continental breakfast on the second day and lunch on both conference days.
SPACE IS LIMITIED AND SLOTS FOR REGISTRANTS WILL BE RESERVED IN THE ORDER RECEIVED UP TO 125. There will be no on-site registration. To make sure that you have a reserved place, please return the registration form as soon as possible but not later than Thursday, April 22, 2004 to:
