During FY 2002-2003, the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Special Education Unit, initiated the Special Education Program Effectiveness and Evaluation Profile (PEEP) web-based application to assist schools in identifying program improvement efforts.
Data collected on PEEP indicators are reported to the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), each year through the Annual Performance Report (APR) process. To ensure the highest accuracy in data reporting to OSEP, PEEP data for FY 2003-2004 must be reported at a 100 percent level. For example, when reporting compliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives, results for all IEPs must be reported, not just a sample at a 25 percent level.
Complete instructions for PEEP data entry will be available in the Documentation section of the PEEP web application page. Note that separate data entry screens for early childhood and school age programs must be used when reporting PEEP results.
Beginning April 26, 2004, access the PEEP application by going to the Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education web page, http://arksped.k12.ar.us/. Click on Monitoring and Program Effectiveness. The PEEP application is located under the Web applications section. Use the login submitted for the applicable district or education cooperative to the Grants and Data Management Section to access the system.
