The Center for Effective Parenting will present a one-day workshop on
Monday, August 9, 2004. The focus will be on developing productive school-family-community partnerships for parental involvement in compliance with Act 603 (Parental Involvement Plan). The workshop will be held at the Jones Center for Families, 922 East Emma Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas.
This workshop will provide each school district with a research-based approach to develop excellent programs of family and community involvement. Attendees will be prepared to guide their elementary, middle, and high schools in developing goal-oriented partnership programs to increase student achievement and success in school. PLEASE NOTE: This training will be limited to two leaders per school district or educational cooperative who will be responsible for training personnel in their respective school districts, providing the required in-service training to meet the requirements of Act 603. The workshop is limited to the first 300 registrants, so register early.
The registration fee, which will cover the cost of lunch, will be $50 per participant. Payment or a school purchase order must accompany the registration form and will be limited to the first 300 registrations received. There will be no on-site registration. The registration form is attached.
