In order for the Department of Information Services (DIS) to submit proposals requesting E-Rate discount funds in support of Internet access, telecommunication services, and/or internal connections on behalf of the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and the school districts of Arkansas, the ADE is required to collect a Letter of Agency from each school district.
This year, the Schools and Libraries Division review team has notified DIS that the Letters of Agency must be updated and submitted from each school district in order for the state E-Rate application to be approved and funded. Attached is the updated Letter of Agency each district is required to complete and submit. The only change from the previously submitted Letter of Agency is the last part in the first paragraph, which now identifies E-Rate eligible services as being: Telecommunication Services, Internet Access and Internal Connections. This new Letter of Agency will cover years 2004, 2005, and 2006.
