State Information System (SIS) Cycle 1 training will be held in the Educational Cooperatives during the months of July and August. A schedule of the training sites, dates and times is attached. The training schedules for SIS Cycles 2-7 will be released in a separate Director’s Memo during the month of July and the training sessions will be held throughout the month of September.
The training sessions for SIS Cycle 1 range in dates from July 13 through August 11, 2004. It is essential that the State Reporting Coordinator, Financial System Administrator and/or Bookkeeper, and Student System Administrator from the district attend one of the training sessions. In some school districts, one staff member may cover more than one of these areas of responsibility and, in that case, someone else who would benefit from the training may attend. Due to limited space, send no more than three persons to the training.
Also attached to this memo is a Statewide Information System (SIS) Coordinators Application Form. This form is to be completed and returned ONLY IF the SIS Coordinator and/or the Cycle 1 Coordinator for the district have changed. Districts that have been consolidated into a newly-formed district MUST submit the form. Fax the completed form to the attention of Tinika Ricks, 501-682-5035.

This training will greatly benefit school districts by clarifying the state reporting process and providing the proper procedures to submit error free reports.
