This Director's Memo is to provide each school district with the updated Rules for the Specifications Governing School Bus Design, effective July 1, 2004. This Rule replaces the Specifications Governing School Bus Design dated April 11, 1994. After July 1, 2004 any school bus bid must meet the new minimum specifications. The new Rule will not be distributed in hard copy form. Therefore, each district must print the attached Rule and insert the document in the "Specifications" section of the Administrator’s Handbook for Safe School Transportation.
