The rules governing Professional Development are included in the Arkansas Comprehensive Testing, Assessment and Accountability Plan (ACTAAP). In addition, Act 83 of the Second Extraordinary Session requires the following:
That each school district prepare a Professional Development Plan beginning with the 2004-2005 school year,
That teachers, administrators, and classified school employees be involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the respective Professional Development offerings under the plan, and
That the evaluation of the Professional Development offering results be given to each group of employees in the school district and used to improve Professional Development offerings.
