In reviewing the Rule for Act 102 of 2003, “Rules Governing Advanced Placement Courses in the Four Core Areas in High School,” inadvertent omissions were found from the Rule originally put out for public comment. The amended Rule was approved by the Arkansas Board of Education for public comment at the August 9, 2004 meeting. This amendment will bring the Rule back into conformity with the Rule as originally put out for public comment.

There will be a public hearing on the amended Rule Wednesday, September 15, 2004, in the Arkansas Department of Education Auditorium of the Arch Ford Building, #4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Written comments will also be accepted at the Office of Gifted and Talented, Room 203-B, #4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201 from the date of this memo through Friday, September 24, 2004.
