In a continued effort to maximize Medicaid revenues in the schools, the Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education Unit is offering Medicaid billing training coordinated with the Division of Medical Services (Medicaid) and EDS. The training will take place at the Arkansas Special Education Resource Center (ASERC), Sherwood, AR, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on September 16, 2004 and again on October 1, 2004.
EDS Provider Representatives will be facilitating the workshop focusing on appropriate billing procedures for the PES Software including: implementing the PES Software, submitting electronic claims, checking Medicaid eligibility, and other software related issues.
The training will cover the appropriate steps necessary to bill for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Personal Care, Private Duty Nursing, School-Based Mental Health, and Targeted Case Management.
Attendance at this training is highly recommended. Each workshop is limited to 150 participants. In order to accommodate each Local Education Agency at one of the training sessions, Local Education Agency Supervisors will need to limit registrants to two people.
Registration for the workshop is required since space is limited. Registration will be completed through emailing Tony Boaz at the Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education Unit at tboaz@arkedu.k12.ar.us. Upon receiving the registration email, a verification message will be returned to the registrant.
