The purpose of this memorandum is to remind school district personnel of revisions to Special Education rules contained in Special Education and Related Services: Procedural Requirements and Program Standards, specifically, section 3.00 Child Find; section 10.00 Mediation and Hearings; Appendix A, Required Form #4, Your Rights Under the IDEA; and Section 24 Catastrophic Occurrences.
This reminder is necessary because the Special Education Unit no longer routinely mails replacement pages for rule revisions. Instead, these revised documents are available for review and local printing from the Special Education website at http://arksped.k12.ar.us. Districts will need to replace the previous versions of these rules or specific pages within existing rules in the district's hard copy versions that were previously distributed to school administrators and special education supervisory personnel.
