The Distance Learning Workshop entitled: Verification – New Reporting Requirements, will be held on October 7, 2004. The workshop will be offered from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
This distance learning workshop will discuss in detail the verification process. USDA is requiring each school district to report verification results to the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Child Nutrition Unit. After analyzing the data the Child Nutrition Unit will forward each district’s report to USDA. This is a new requirement beginning with the 2004-05 school year.
The educational cooperatives that will be hosting the training sessions are listed on the registration form. Be sure to indicate the location that personnel will be attending on the registration form. Quapaw Technical Institute, which is part of the National Park Community College in Hot Springs, has been added for this workshop due to the ASFSA Conference being held in Hot Springs that week.
The workshop will be open to all verifying officials, child nutrition directors or any other person responsible for verifying or maintaining free and reduced price meal applications. The registration fee is $10.00 for each participant.
Registration deadline for the workshop is October 1, 2004. The materials needed for this session will be mailed to the address listed on each participant's registration form. Please copy and complete a separate registration form for each participant.
The training will be cancelled at any site that does not have a registered participant by the deadline.
