The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Partners in Behavioral Health Sciences (PIBHS) program has a way to communicate with teachers and students during the regular academic year by using interactive television communication technology.

The UAMS Telemedicine network connects UAMS with about 50 distant sites such as Area Health Education Centers (AHECs) and the Rural Hospitals of the UAMS Office of Regional Programs, Community Hospitals, Community Colleges and other institutions.

All courses are free and are most appropriate for students in Grades 8 through 12. In addition, the PIBHS program will provide a $100.00 stipend to schools (payable after the broadcast if the sign-in forms and evaluations are received) to offset expenses associated with participation in this program.

Refer to the attachment for connectivity and course offering details.
