In a continuing effort to recruit qualified education personnel for all Arkansas public school districts, the Department of Education is pleased to announce the availability of the web-based recruitment service http://Teachers-Teachers.com. This service is designed to help those responsible for personnel recruitment meet the challenges of placing the most qualified education professionals in our schools. The services of Teachers-Teachers.com for Arkansas public schools are provided by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) through collaboration of the Special Education and Professional Quality Enhancement Units. There is no direct cost to public schools.
TeachArkansas has expanded its services to provide a membership to Teachers-Teachers.com for all Arkansas school districts. Membership to the service will enable those charged with personnel recruitment to:
• Post job openings for all education personnel, (including teachers, administrators, speech pathologists, and other related services personnel)and receive cover letters and resumes from interested candidates by email.
• Send broadcast emails to targeted pools of candidates and alert a specific audience of candidates to job opportunities and incentive programs through personalized messages. In addition, the system can be utilized to connect with candidates attending the statewide recruitment fair.
• Conduct customized candidate searches; proactively search the candidate database and track progress with candidates using an online prospect list.
Arkansas public school districts may begin registering for the service on October 1, 2004, by visiting www.teacharkansas.org. Once at the site, click on "District Recruiters" or the Teachers-Teachers.com logo to be directed to the Arkansas portal page.
Once the district completes the registration process, the Arkansas Recruitment Director for Teachers-Teachers.com will contact the district. He/she will provide the district contact person with an overview of the service and will continue to provide ongoing assistance.
