The Nutrition and Physical Activity Advisory Committee, a subcommittee of the Child Health Advisory Committee created by Act 1220, has developed a guide for schools, parents, and communities. The guide gives an overview of the law and summarizes the work of the Act 1220 Advisory Committee. In addition, the guide gives sample letters and agendas to use in working with the local advisory committees required by Act 1220.
The guide also lists numerous resources and contacts at both the state and federal level to assist districts in implementing the requirements of Act 1220.
