Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated § 25-15-201 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Arkansas State Board (ASB) and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) are considering implementing new proposed Rules governing Act 1761 of the 2003 legislative session, Arkansas Code Annotated § 6-11-105, 6-15-1506 and 25-15-201. These rules replace any previous Rules drafted by ADE related to Act 1761. A public hearing will be held on November 1, 2004, at 1:30 p.m., at the Arkansas Department of Education, #4 Capitol Mall, in the Auditorium, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. Written comments should be mailed to the Office of Dr. Gayle Potter, #4 Capitol Mall, Room 106-A, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. The new proposed Rules include, but are not limited to the following: purpose, definitions, and requirements of the Act.
