The Twenty-Fourth Annual Curriculum and Instruction Conference will be held at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on June 20-22, 2005. This event is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (AASCD) and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). The 2005 theme is “Answering the Call for Excellence in Education.” The featured speakers will be Grady Jim Robinson sharing his latest motivational piece, “A Hero’s Journey,” master teacher author, Robert DeBruyn, and brain research author, Dr. Robert Sylwester. Small sessions will focus on instructional delivery strategies, data disaggregation, financial management, parental involvement, Arkansas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (ACSIP), facilities, technology, and Classroom Walk-Throughs.
