The Regional T-Cubed (Teachers Teaching with Technology) Conference will be held February 4-5, 2005, at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs (ASMSA). The conference is sponsored by Texas Instruments, the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts, the Arkansas Center for Math and Science Education (UCA), and the Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The cost for registration is $50.00 plus $5.00 for a boxed lunch on Friday.
Conference sessions will be held at ASMSA from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2005, and from 8:30 a.m.-11:40 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2005. There is also a reception and keynote address by Dr. Jim Schultz, Morton Chair of Mathematics Education at Ohio University, on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Arlington Hotel.
In addition to these sessions, a special minicourse for administrators will be held on Friday, February 4th from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The registration fee for the Administrators’ MiniCourse is $25.00 and includes lunch. Bradley Roberts, Assistant Superintendent for Midland School District, will bring teachers and students to demonstrate the TI Navigator, the latest enhancement of calculator use in the classroom.
