The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) was notified recently of a $1.5 million grant award increase for federal Title VI-B that will result in additional amounts for school district special education programs. Each school district’s additional amount is shown in the attachment. Districts may access these additional Title VI-B funds by processing a current year budget amendment request through the ADE Special Education Unit. Any funds not budgeted in the current year will be held in reserve for budgeting and expenditure in FY 2005-06.
