First, the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) would like to thank local school superintendents and their staff members for taking the time to meet with representatives from the Academic Facilities Office to discuss the district's Facility Assessment Report. This is indeed a complicated and massive effort and ADE appreciates the cooperation to assist in improving the accuracy of the information. In the next couple of weeks the legislature will be provided a revised report based upon the changes received by the Academic Facilities Office.
This office is particularly interested in receiving corrections to data such as dates of construction, corrections to the lifecycle dates, or any other corrections that should be made.
Districts that had a conference prior to and on Friday, January 21st are requested to submit changes by Friday, February 4th. Districts that had or are scheduled to have conferences after Friday, January 21st are requested to submit changes as soon as possible, keeping in mind that a revised report needs to be provided to the legislature in the next couple of weeks. The follow-up process will be discussed with the remaining five districts in the meetings scheduled for next week.
The changes do not have to be submitted on any type of form. Corrections can be made on the district report, school report, deficiency report and/or the life cycle listing provided by the Facilities Office. These corrections can be faxed to the Academic Facilities Office (501-683-1200) or e-mailed to the project coordinators at the following addresses:
