The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) has been asked to provide to the legislature a report of the amount of money districts spent on school maintenance and operation expenditures and on facilities acquisition and construction capital expenditures.
The report is available on the Departments “What’s New” website. It consists of a Word document containing footnotes to the data reports. This document also references the financial accounting function and object codes that were used to pull the data. The data was pulled from all funds. This document is an integral part of the data report. The second report is an Excel spreadsheet consisting of 6 sheets. The report is presented in two formats: one with the 308 school districts in existence in fiscal year 2004. The second format contains the 254 districts currently in existence, with the consolidated/annexed districts added together. The data was taken from the September 1, 2004, Cycle 1 submission of financial data included in the Annual Financial Report.
