Sponsored by the Crittenden Arts Council, the Delta Aesthetic Education Institute, a teacher training program affiliated with the Lincoln Center Institutes, will take place June 13 - 17, 2005, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the West Memphis High School Performing Arts Center. This is a unique opportunity for teachers to 1) engage in inquiry-based, hands-on experiencial learning in and through the arts, and 2) to view live performances/exhibits that will be available for students during the next school year. Institute teachers qualify for artists residencies in the teacher's classroom that is focused on the work of art chosen. Teachers may also receive graduate credit through Mid-South Community College and University of Central Arkansas. Works of art this summer include Percussion Around the World, Rikki Tikki Tavi, Dancing Stories, and The 1927 Mississippi River Flood Photography Exhibit.

The cost is $250.00 per teacher, and a minimum team of two teachers is required per school. Space is available for forty teachers. A life changing opportunity not to be missed! For registration information call Amelia Barton at 870-732-6260 or e-mail at abarton@crittendenarts.org.
