Several Arkansas education laws have reporting requirements. Arkansas Code Annotated 6-16-123(d) (1997 Supp.), 6-18-1105(c), and 6-16-124(c2), require legislative update on the following:
1. Progress report on implementation on AR laws in district curricula
2. Report on district schools and fund raising
3. Report on compliance with Arkansas history requirements
Additionally, Arkansas Code Annotated 6-16-121 has a reporting requirement on African American history.
Each school district shall report to the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), on a yearly basis, the statements of assurance found in the enclosed attachment. The ADE shall report this information on or before May 15 of each year to the House and Senate Interim Committees on Education.
