The Arkansas State Board of Education and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) are considering amending the Rules for Highly Qualified Teachers. The mark-up version of the Rules, which includes proposed changes, is attached. A public comment period will run from March 25, 2005 through April 29, 2005 with a public hearing scheduled on April 19, 2005 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the ADE located at #4 State Capitol Mall, Little Rock, Arkansas.
