Through the ABC program, the DCCECE encourages the development of early childhood education programs to help educationally deprived children develop intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally in order to be prepared for kindergarten. The program is funded under Acts 212 of 1991, 1132 of 1997, Act 49 of 2004, and applicable legislation from the 85th General Assembly.
Attached are the ABC application items for 2005-2006. The original application must be received in the DCCECE on or before May 2, 2005, to: Paul Lazenby, ABC Program Administrator; DCCECE; P.O. Box 1437 Slot S160; Little Rock, AR 72203. Grants are contingent upon appropriation, State Board of Education approval and the availability of funds.
