The Special Education Catastrophic Occurrence claim form for 2004-05 is now available. Claims must be filed on the Arkansas Department of Education Special Education website, http://arksped.k12.ar.us, by May 2, 2005. This secure filing site is accessed under the Finance link after logging in to MySped Resource.
School districts were provided a claim worksheet in January 2005 through Director’s Memo IA-05-071 to begin to identify allowable cost information on each Catastrophic Occurrence for which a claim will be submitted. A completed student-specific worksheet will form the basis for a claim filed by May 2, 2005.
