Child Nutrition Directors are going north!! Mark the calendar and register for the Child Nutrition Directors? Conference and the New Directors? Orientation. Both will be held at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center in Eureka Springs. The hotel information and a registration form are attached. Please send one registration form for each person attending the conference.
DIRECTORS? CONFERENCE
The Directors? Conference will be held August 1-2, 2005. Registration for the conference will be in the lobby of the convention center starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 1. Please register and pick up the informational packet between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The Conference will begin at 11:30 in the Forest Manor Room. As part of the program, Theresa Stretch from National Food Service Management Institute (NFSMI) will provide training on the new regulations with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), a Child Nutrition Reauthorization requirement. Other topics of interest will include Multi-Child Applications, Verification, Directors/Managers/Workers Certification and ACT 1220 update.
NEW DIRECTORS? ORIENTATION
The New Directors? Orientation will be held on August 3, 2005, at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center. The meeting will take place in the Walnut Room of the Convention Center. Training for new or first year directors, superintendents, and independent managers will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Child Nutrition Unit (CNU), Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), will provide training and orientation on the agreement and policy statement, collection procedures, meal patterns for menus, record keeping requirements, procurement, children with special needs, student involvement and available resources. It is strongly recommended that new directors attend both the Directors? Conference on August 1 and 2, and New Directors? Orientation on August 3, 2005.
Please register and pick up the orientation packet at the table in the lobby of the Convention Center between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 8:00 a.m.
