The Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN) has provided a method to enter the paraprofessional qualification data as required by No Child Left Behind into the Pentamation financial software. Paraprofessionals are classroom/instructional aides who have an Arkansas classified personnel job assignment code of 690.
A procedural outline on how to enter the Paraprofessional Qualification data has been posted to the APSCN web site at http://www.k12.ar.us/apscndocs/paraprofqual.pdf. Please print the outline and follow the instructions to enter the information for each instructional aide. If the individual works in an instructional capacity with students, in a Title I School Wide School, or with Title I identified students in a Targeted Assistance School and meets the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) paraprofessional qualification standards, a Y for yes should be entered into the system. If the individual does not meet the standard, a N for no is required.
This information will be collected in Cycle 2, which has a deadline date of October 15, 2005.
