The Arkansas Council of Economic Educators (ACEE) and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis/Little Rock Branches are co-sponsoring a three-day symposium entitled "Spotlight on Economics" to be held on August 1 - 3, 2005. The symposium is open to teachers in grades K-12 but targets middle and high school teachers. Teachers will learn what materials are available to them at the middle and high school grade levels. Speakers will be coming from the IRS, FDIC, and consumer credit agencies to share what they have for educators.
The August 1 workshop is "Economics Up Close and Personal"; the August 2 workshop is "Personal Economics: More Than Just Money"; and the August 3 workshop is "The World Market: Why Do Countries Trade?" While there is no charge for the symposium, to ensure a space, please register by July 15, 2005. You may register by phone or e-mail.
