A tentative testing schedule for the 2005-2006 school year was announced in Director’s Memo ACC-05-050 of February 15, 2005. However, this memorandum establishes the finalized testing schedule for the 2005-2006 school year. The changes herein are intended both to balance the assessment schedule and to achieve the earliest possible return of score reports to schools. Please note that the Benchmark reading and math portion of the testing done during the week of March 6, 2006, will be moved into April in 2007.
The ACTAAP testing dates for the 2005-2006 school year are as follows:
August 15, 2005 - September 16, 2005 – The Qualls Early Learning Inventory (formerly the Iowa Early Learning Inventory) The completed inventories must be shipped no later than September 16, 2005.
January 24-25, 2006 - Mid-Year End of Course Algebra I Exam (Tuesday-Wednesday)
January 26-27, 2006 - Mid-Year End of Course Geometry Exam (Thursday-Friday)
February 22-23, 2006 – Benchmark Writing in Grades 3-8 (Wednesday-Thursday)
March 6, 2006 – Science Field Test in Grades 5 and 7 (Monday)
March 7-9, 2006 - Benchmark Exams (Reading and Math) in Grades 3-8 Tuesday-Thursday)
March 8-9, 2006 – Grade 11 Literacy Exam (Wednesday-Thursday)
March 10, 2006 - ITBS for Grades 3-9 (Friday)
March 20-31, 2006 - ITBS of Basic Skills for Grades K-2 (Testing days/times determined by individual school district.)
April 3 - May 12, 2006 (Window) - MAC II Assessment for LEP students K-12
March 24, 2006 - Alternate Portfolios due date (Friday)
April 25-26, 2006 - End of Course Algebra I Exam (Tuesday-Wednesday)
April 27-28, 2006 - End of Course Geometry Exam (Thursday-Friday)
PLEASE ARRANGE THE 2005-2006 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR TO ACCOMMODATE THESE LEGALLY REQUIRED TESTING DATES. THERE WILL BE NO WAIVERS GRANTED FROM THESE DATES.
SPRING BREAKS SHOULD NOT OCCUR THE WEEK AFTER BENCHMARK TESTING IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE REQUIRED MAKE-UP DAYS AND SHIPPING DEADLINES. A CERTIFIED PERSON SHALL BE AVAILABLE AT THE TEST SITE TO RECEIVE AND SECURE TEST MATERIALS WHEN THEY ARRIVE.
