The A B C's of Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) will be presented three (3) times this summer in support of new and relatively new programs. The foundational information necessary to establish and effectively run an ALE will be explored. Participants will experience a large array of supplemental materials that greatly enhance ALE programs. Academics, social skills, behavior management, classroom management, and general organizational solutions will be the focus of these training seminars. Lori Lamb, Arkansas Department of Education, ALE Coordinator, and Mary Beth Whipkey, ALE Teacher, will co-present at each seminar. Beneficial forms and individual district programs will be shared so that the participants will be able to go back and create district packets that are within compliance with Arkansas Rules governing Alternative Education.
The program time is 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and lunch will be at the discretion of each participant. To register, please call Donna Faulkner at 501-371-2696 or e-mail dfaulkner@arkedu.k12.ar.us.
