Act 424 of 2005 effective August 12, 2005, to clarify that audits not conducted by the Legislative Auditor, must include financial statements in accordance with regulations prescribed by the State Board of Education or the Department of Education, or in the alternative, in accordance with the guidelines and format of the Government Accounting Standards Board, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the United States Government Accountability Office.
