July 11, 2005, the State Board of Education gave final approval to Rules Governing Visual Art and Music Instruction for Students in Grades One through Six (1-6). Rules address visual art and music instruction (grades 1-6) pursuant to A.C.A. § 6-16-130, as amended by Act 245 of 2005. Attached are Act 245 of 2005 and accompanying Rules. Please note Rule 2.01 (class size), Rules 2.03 and 3.01 (required instructional time), and Rules 2.04 and 3.02 (required licensure).
