The Volunteer Assistance Program is a cooperative agreement of the Arkansas School Bus Mechanics Association. Association members agree to assist school districts with mechanical problems that occur on activity trips within driving distance of the mechanic's home school.
The participants in this program should be commended for dedication and willingness to assist other school districts experiencing mechanical breakdowns. This assistance may include a fee for parts and/or labor.
The attached list of mechanics is from school districts in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas. This list should be posted in each activity trip bus. The names and phone numbers are for emergency school use only. Please instruct the drivers on the proper use of this program.
