Act 2128 of 2005 amends Ark. Code Ann. Sec. 27-51-1005 to prohibit a school district from establishing a school bus stop that requires a student to cross a multiple lane highway.

A multiple lane highway is defined as a road with four (4) or more traffic lanes and with no less than two (2) traffic lanes for traveling in each direction.

Act 2128, by its amendment of Ark. Code Ann. Secs. 5-10-105 and 27-51-1001 also increases the penalty for illegally passing a stopped school bus while it is loading or unloading students.
