The Easter Seals Arkansas Technology and Curriculum Access Center, in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education – Special Education, will offer regional professional development on the topic of Alternate Portfolio Assessment during the 2005-2006 school year. This workshop is intended for special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, related services providers, paraprofessionals, testing coordinators, and school administrators.
This workshop is designed to assist staff in assessing students using the portfolio method, and will provide strategies and tips to improve the development of students’ portfolios. The format for this workshop is hands-on application, cooperative learning, and some direct demonstration. Seating is limited. There is a $50 per person fee.
