To assist school districts in preparing for the 2005-2006 On-campus Standards Review (OSR) visits, the Standards Assurance Unit will host a training session via videoconference. The session has been scheduled Wednesday, September 28, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, roll call will begin at 8:30 a.m. Coordinators for this training are: Dr. Diana Julian, Assistant Commissioner-Learning Services; Annette Barnes, Coordinator-School Improvement; and Frank Wimer, Lead Specialist-Standards Assurance.

Only districts scheduled for a 2005-2006 OSR visit are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is required as seating is limited. Participants could include one district administrator and a principal or designated leader from each building; participants are responsible for bringing copies of the attachments to this memo to the training session. The monitoring process and checklist have changed significantly, and the checklist will include some items mandated for initial implementation in 2005-2006.
