APSCN is in the process of upgrading the Student Management System to StudentPLUS, which provides a Windows-type look and navigation. The purpose of this memo is to inform districts of the StudentPLUS training and implementation schedule.
StudentPLUS training will be provided at the local educational cooperatives. The schedule is attached to this memo and lists the training session groups, beginning training date, and conversion date. The schedule has six worksheets: Pilot, Wave3, Wave4, Wave5, Wave6, and Wave7. Check each worksheet, beginning with Wave3, to find the district's training and conversion date. The training will be conducted over a four (4) day period with the schedule indicating the first day of training. Training sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and dismiss at approximately 4:00 p.m.
There is a one (1) week gap between the training and conversion dates, that gap is to be used for training district personnel that did not attend training (contact the APSCN student field representative for instructions on training).
APSCN is encouraging each district to implement the "train the trainer" approach. With this approach each district will send one person to the 4-day training session, it will be that person's responsibility to train other users within the district.
The districts participating in Waves 6 & 7 will not have Next Year's Scheduling databases created until after converting to StudentPLUS.
Since there is a short implementation window, training sessions cannot be changed or rescheduled.
