On June 2, 2005, a finalized testing schedule for the 2005-2006 school year was announced in Director's Memo ACC-05-070.  However, this memorandum updates that schedule to include three changes.

On November 8, 2005, a Field Test of multiple-choice writing items will be administered to 11th grade students in selected districts.  This test will take less than one hour to administer and can be returned on the same day.

The norm-referenced testing for grades 3 – 9 has been expanded to include the Complete Battery of the Iowa Test.  The testing window for the Complete Battery (reading, mathematics, language, science, social studies, and sources of information) will be April 10 – April 21, 2006.  Each district will develop a testing schedule (days/times) for this two-week period.  A grade cohort in a district must test at the same time.  Make-up testing must be completed during the weeks of April 10 – April 21, 2006.

Benchmark writing prompts will be administered separately from the remaining portions of the Benchmark Exams.

The ACTAAP testing dates for the 2005-2006 school year are as follows:

August 15, 2005 – September 23, 2005 – The Qualls Early Learning Inventory (formerly the Iowa Early Learning Inventory) must be shipped no later than September 23, 2005

November 8, 2005 – Field Test for Grade 11 Multiple-Choice Writing Items (Tuesday)

March 20 - 31, 2006 – (Window) Iowa Test of Basic Skills for Grades K-2 (Testing days/times determined by individual school district, including make-up testing.  A grade cohort must test at the same time.)
