The purpose of this memorandum is to transmit the Arkansas Department of Education Rules Governing Charter Schools. These rules have been adopted by the State Board of Education and were approved by Legislative Council Rules and Regulations Review Committee on September 1, 2005.
“The purposes of these rules and regulations are to implement Ark. Code Ann. §6-23-101, et seq. and to establish the requirements and procedures for the application of a charter school, for monitoring a school once it has been granted a charter by the State Board of Education, for renewal, modification, and revocation of a charter granted by the State Board, and for disbursing funds to a charter school.”
