Special Education Catastrophic Occurrences FY 2005-2006 students must be registered on the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Special Education website (http://arksped.k12.ar.us) by February 13, 2006, in order to file for reimbursement on May 1, 2006. The Registry site is accessed through MySped Resource under the Finance link.
Registration on the Special Education website by February 13, 2006, is necessary to allow sufficient time for the ADE to follow-up on likely Catastrophic Occurrences claims, including the potential for on-site reviews. On-site reviews may be conducted for the purpose of ensuring that students for whom Catastrophic Occurrences funding is requested are receiving a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
