The next Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Workshop, “Completing the Steps for the Process Approach to HACCP,” will take place March 7-8, 2006, at the Jacksonville Community Center, 5 Municipal Drive, Jacksonville, AR.
On March 7 (Tuesday), registration will be from 10:30am until 11:45am followed by the Workshop from 12:00 Noon to 5:30pm. The Workshop will continue from 8:30am – 4:00pm on March 8 (Wednesday).
The Workshop will provide specific information to district child nutrition directors for development of a Food Safety Plan. Participants will be given more guidance about following the “Process Approach to HACCP” and the maintenance of necessary documentation. A representative from the Department of Health and Human Services will be available for questions.
MATERIALS TO BRING TO THE WORKSHOP:
1. “Guidance for School Food Authorities: Developing a School Food Safety Program based on the Process Approach to HACCP Principles,” USDA/FNS dated June 2005. This was mailed out about June 20, 2005.
2. A copy of a main dish recipe (local school recipe) to add critical control points.
Snacks will be served during some of the breaks each day. NO MEALS will be provided.
A list of motels for overnight accommodations is attached. Please make personal arrangements. Also attached are directions to the Jacksonville Community Center and a list of restaurants near the Center.
