Effective July 1, 2006, the attached job code lists, both the three (3) digits for classified positions and the four (4) digits for licensed positions with "No Students Attached," are to be utilized in completing the Cycle II report for the 2006-2007 school year. Additional information regarding these changes and the Cycle II report will be distributed through the Arkansas Public School Computer Network staff; however, due to the major revisions/updates in these job codes the Department elected to distribute this information to school districts immediately as a Commissioner's memo.
In October 2005 drafts of these new job code lists were distributed to school district administrators attending a session at the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators' fall conference. Numerous school district administrators offered input or suggestions and worked with the Department in the development of these revisions.
Most of the revisions on the Job Code list for Licensed Personnel were required due to the revisions in the District/Building Level Administrator Licenses and the Curriculum/Program Administrator Licenses approved by the State Board of Education in the summer of 2003. These revisions properly reflect the new license numbers, license descriptions and grade levels.
