To ensure safe and efficient operation of public school buses in Arkansas, the Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation has promulgated rules governing maintenance and operation of public school buses and physical examinations of school bus drivers. These rules may be downloaded from the web site.

State school bus inspectors employed by the Division are currently conducting scheduled school bus inspections at local school districts. Each school district will be contacted prior to the inspection date.

In addition, each school district will be contacted by a regional school bus driver trainer to schedule in-service training for school bus drivers.
