Arkansas Action for Healthy Kids and the Arkansas Dietetic Association are sponsoring the Second Annual Nutrition and Physical Activity Essay Contest for Arkansas public school students in grades 7-12. The theme for the essay contest is “It’s How You Eat and Move Your Feet.”
Essays will be evaluated by a panel of judges. The sponsoring school of the first place winner will receive $50. The essay contest promotes writing and critical thinking skills, and increases awareness of health and nutrition issues. Cash incentives for essay contest winners range from $50-$150. Winning students will receive Certificates of Achievement and public recognition. All students entering will receive Certificates of Participation.
