Arkansas Action for Healthy Kids has announced an exciting grant opportunity for Arkansas public middle schools (grades 6, 7 & 8) to improve the health of school children by increasing physical activity and nutrition programs for children. Grants are competitive and an application is required.

The deadline for schools to submit a letter of intent to apply is March 15, 2006. This letter may be sent via e-mail to cbgarner@uams.edu. The full application is due April 28, 2006.
