The State Board of Education approved the revised Science Curriculum Framework and the Physical Education and Health Curriculum Framework documents for grades K-8 and high school courses on February 13, 2006. The frameworks are now posted on the Arkansas Department of Education website. These documents supercede previous revisions. Beginning in the 2006-2007 school year, all instruction in the content areas of Science, Physical Education, and Health shall be aligned with the appropriate framework. The Science Benchmark Exams for grades 5 and 7 and the End-of-Course Biology Exam shall also be aligned with the revised Science Framework beginning in the 2007-2008 school year.
