The Arkansas Association of Middle-level Educators (AAMLE) Annual Conference will be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center April 23 - 25, 2006. The theme for this year’s conference is “Tools for the Trade”. Featured speakers include Mark McLeod, Patti Kinney, Dr. Marcia L. Tate, Janet Vernon, Dr. Charity Smith, Renee Boatman, and Dedra Stafford. Pre-conference sessions and technology sessions will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2006. The conference includes sessions and strands encompassing best practices in literacy, math, science, and social studies; student assessment; student motivation; parent involvement; and classroom management. During the closing celebration on Tuesday, April 25,2006, the “Teams That Make a Difference”, “Administrators That Make a Difference”, and “Shannon Wright Middle School of the Year” awards will be presented.
