In accordance with Ark. Code Ann. § 6-18-707, the Arkansas Department of Education has developed Guidelines for Implementation of Act 1694 of 2005. The guidelines for implementation have been developed for use in school districts that allow a student to carry and use an asthma inhaler or auto-injectable epinephrine, or both, while in school, at an on-site school-sponsored activity or at an off-site, school-sponsored activity. Section 6-18-707 shall be known and may be cited as “Alex’s Law”. The Guidelines for Implementation of Act 1694 of 2005 are attached.
