The Commission for Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation is researching the possibility of multiple state contracts for the purchase of diesel, bio-diesel and gasoline to meet the transportation needs of Arkansas school districts.
To enable the Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation to collect and formulate data, each school district is requested to complete the attached form and return it by June 16, 2006, to Mike Simmons, Transportation Program Manager, Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation, 501 Woodlane, Suite 600, Little Rock, AR 72201.
Plans are to assimilate this data and make it available to all Arkansas school districts for review and comments. If the results are favorable, research will be continued to secure multiple state contracts to lock in fuel prices for an extended period of time to facilitate better financial planning.
