High school and middle school educators are invited to participate in a conference entitled Unlawful Harassment of Students in Education Programs and Activities, which will be held September 11 and 12, 2006, at The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock.
The purpose of the conference is to share information on harassement and its effect on the learning environment. Administrators and other professionals will have the opportunity to learn more about what constitutes harassment, the different regulatory authorities that prohibit harassment, and to get ideas and information about how to develop preventative programs and respond effectively to incidents of harassment. Educators attending this event will receive 12 hours of Professional Development Training credits.
A block of rooms has been reserved at The Peabody Hotel at a conference rate of $71 per night on September 10 and 11, 2006. The registration fee for the two-day conference is $85 and includes all conference materials, a continental breakfast, a luncheon and other activities.
